Family Support Services (FSS) comes under Warrumbungle Shire Council's Environmental and Community Services department. FSS includes Connect 5 Children's Services, Castlereagh Family Day Care, Youth Development Office r& Out Of School Hours care.

- Connect 5 Children's Services: Mobile learning resource for country kids school age and under. Connect Five conducts paly sessions, toy Library and Occasional care in the shires of Warrumbungle, Coonamble and Gilgandra.
- Castelreagh Family Day Care:
- Youth Development Officer: Working with and developing opportunities for young people across the shire. Providing skill development, leadership, empowerment, local governance, support, advocacy and referrals.
Initiatives include Warrumbungle Shire Youth Action Groups, National Youth Week, School Holiday Program, working with youth services to improve quality of community and much more.
Family Support Services is under the auspice of Warrumbungle Shire Council , and therefore FSS's Facebook page is used as an important tool to actively engage with and inform the community. It acts as a place for discussion, enquiries and an active exchange of thoughts and ideas.
